Gerrymandering 101
GERRYMANDERING 101: A forum with Former Chief Justice Maureen O'Connor
What is gerrymandering and how do we fix it?
GERRYMANDERING (noun)
: manipulating the boundaries of an electoral constituency so as to favor one party (and yes, both parties do it!)
Join us Thursday 9/12/24 @ 7:00 p.m. at Rocky River Civic Center Memorial Hall, where Former Chief Justice Maureen O'Connor will guide us through the basics of gerrymandering, what it means, how it impacts us, and why it matters. Learn about how we can secure a fair nonpartisan redistricting process to ensure partisan politicians are not the ones guiding these maps.
We are planning time for questions and answers at the event. Please submit any question you have about gerrymandering when you complete your online registration.
This event is free, but pre-registration is required. Limited seating available.
