Volunteer to register new citizens

The Westlake/North Olmsted chapter has been helping new citizens register to vote for years. Last week alone they registered forty eight new voters! You don't have to be a member of the Westlake/North Olmsted chapter to volunteer. Just go to lwvgreatercleveland.org, scroll through the calendar to find a date and time when you would like to help out, click on the event and register.
Volunteers meet every first and third Friday of the month, from 9-10 AM at the Carl B. Stokes U.S. Courthouse, 801 Superior Avenue, Cleveland. In addition, there is a special registration event this Friday, September 12, from 10 AM to 12 PM at the James A. Garfield National Historic Site in Mentor, 8095 Mentor Ave., Mentor. There is another one on Tuesday, September 16, from 11 AM to 1 PM at St. Martin de Porres High School, 6202 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland.
Feel free to contact Bruce Robinson, Voter Services, Westlake/North Olmsted chapter, with any questions at 440-482-3469.

There will be a rally in Columbus this Wednesday, September 17, to demand that fair Legislative maps be drawn. Let's make this rally huge and impactful by going to Columbus. The event starts at 10:30 AM and goes to 12:30 PM. We will meet at Trinity Episcopal Church, 125 East Broad Street, Columbus, 43202. Go here to register.
