Join us for a fun evening celebrating the enduring legacy of the suffrage movement as we continue our important work empowering voters and defending democracy since 1920.

All members, volunteers, and friends of the League of Women Voters of Greater Cleveland are invited to a fun pre-show social at District before the 6:30p showing of the Tony Award–winning musical Suffs at Playhouse Square on Sunday, February 15, 2026. Connect and celebrate our shared history and mission before seeing this powerful show that tells the story of the women who fought tirelessly for the right to vote—an inspiring reminder of the League’s own roots in the suffrage movement.

Tickets for the social fundraiser and the musical performance must be purchased separately.

Program Planning

The League of Women Voters of Greater Cleveland is holding two in-person program planning meetings in February - one on the east side and one on the west side. The first date is Sunday, February 1, from 2 PM - 4 PM. The location is the Shaker Heights Main Library, Fernway Room, 16500 Van Aken Blvd., Shaker Heights, Ohio, 44120. Registration is necessary; register here. Only LWVGC members may attend.

The meeting on the west side is on Sunday, February 8, from 2 PM - 4 PM. The location is the Rocky River Public Library, Auditorium, 1600 Hampton Road, Rocky River, Ohio, 44116. Registration is necessary; register here. Only LWVGC members may attend.

The purpose of program planning is to provide input that helps shape the proposed program of study and action that will be submitted to national convention delegates for debate and adoption. Please consider participating in this very important meeting.

The League of Women Voters of Ohio will be holding three in-person events, called Democracy Defense: Teach-In for Civic Engagement, this February. The closest one to the Greater Cleveland area will be in Akron on Saturday, February 7, from 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM; location to be determined. Please consider adding this activity to your calendar.
