Program Planning
Please sign up for one of two Program planning meetings; the first is in Shaker Heights this Sunday, February 1.
Program Planning - where members define League’s advocacy goals
By inviting all members to participate in the development of policy positions and advocacy priorities, the League of Women Voters is a truly grassroots organization. While the League leadership decides stances on ballot issues and organizes advocacy activities, including legislative testimony, they must do so within the confines of the priorities and positions decided by the membership and according to League’s Principles.
This year, we will be considering the proposed LWVUS Program to be addressed at the LWVUS Convention:
"Women Defend Democracy: Democracy Under Siege.” The Convention will focus on the following areas:
- Voting Rights
- Election Protection
- Redistricting
- Individual Liberties
- Immigration
- The Presidency
