Primary season is upon us

Let's mobilize for the May 5 primary on March 5

The Outreach team will be holding our first All Member zoom call on Thursday, March 5, from 7 PM to 8 PM. Registration is required; you can register here.

Mobilizing for the May 5 primary is especially important this year.
  • The state has made it harder to have your vote count if you vote by mail;
  • After SB 293 passed in December, many voters are bing purged from the voter rolls without notification. The purges are based on shaky databases. So far, 11,000 Cuyahoga County voters have been flagged for purging (Cleveland.com, 2/18/26). And, this process takes place monthly.
  • Newly naturalized citizens who have registered to vote need to contact the BMV to update their records, or they risk not being able to vote.
During the March 5 Zoom call we will give you actions you can take to not only help get out the vote, but share voter resources, information and safeguards as well. Some of these take only a few minutes.

I hope you can join us for this important Zoom call on March 5.

SUFFS and pre-show social a HUGE success

League members enjoyed a delightful evening of socializing, great food and superb entertainment last Sunday, February 15. The play SUFFS, about suffragists (not suffragettes, as I learned -  a derogatory term), was great, and very informative (I knew that Woodrow Wilson's image had been tarnished in the last several years, but I had no idea how awful he was to the Suffragists.) SUFFS won two Emmys, and it clearly earned them.

This event helped raise money for LWVGC. Thank you to all who attended.
