Opportunities Galore
Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb to speak at LWVGC Annual Meeting
 
Registration is now open for our Annual Meeting, taking place on Saturday, May 16, from 9 AM to 1 PM at the City Club of Cleveland, 1317 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH  44115. Everyone is encouraged to attend. We will be voting on the slate of Directors, the 2026-2027 Program, the Budget and more.

Time for Texting
 
Early voting for the May 5 primary is happening now. Many people are voting by mail (about 40% of Ohioans do!) New legislation eliminated the four day window after the election to have ballots counted, and most people don't know that. Please consider texting three of your Ohio contacts, asking them to vote, and if voting by mail, to get their ballots back to the Board of Elections as soon as possible.

League of Women Voters of Ohio Executive Director Jen Miller will be speaking in Shaker Heights this Monday, April 20, at a Voting Rights Education Forum sponsored by FOR (Five Organized for Rights).  RSVP by emailing fiveorganizedforrights@gmail.com.
Election Protection Poll Monitor Training
 
The Ohio Voter Rights Coalition is hosting a virtual Election Protection Poll Monitor Training 2026 on Thursday, April 23 from 6-7 PM and Tuesday, April 28, from 12-1 PM. Be part of a team that helps voters who encounter problems with voting. Register here.
