Textbank Training with LWVO

Texting friends and family is one of the easiest, quickest ways to reach people and remind them to vote in the May 5 primary.

Join the League of Women Voters of Ohio over Zoom for textbank training this Friday, April 24 at 4:30 PM to help remind voters of their power during Ohio's primary season! Once you've got the hang of it, you can jump off and text voters over the next few days when our texting windows are open, or you can hang out with us while we answer any voting questions folks might have. Register here.

LWVGC joins in concurrence with the LWVO Position on Religious Freedom position

The LWVGC board voted unanimously in their board meeting on Saturday, April 18 to adopt by concurrence the LWVO position on religious freedom to include in LWVO's Agenda for Action.  Originally piloted by LWV Colorado, the focus of this study is religious freedom and the challenges to religious pluralism caused by the growing power of Christian nationalism to merge religious identity with ideology and government.

For additional background information, here is the study document with the original study, explanations for the study's importance to LWVO, Ohio’s connection to Christian nationalism, and much more.

You can watch the summary here, and accompanying slides are here.
