FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION
August 8 - National Day of Action
 
Please consider joining other League members this Saturday, August 8, from 8 AM to 12 PM at a Unite and Rise for Voting Rights event. We will be registering voters at the Cleveland Back to School Festival at Cleveland Public Auditorium, 500 Lakeside Ave. E, Cleveland, Ohio, 44114. Leagues all over the country will be participating in similar events. 
 
Community Engagement Training
 
The League has paid for a training series on how to improve our community engagement efforts in areas new to us. The first training in the series will be August 13 from 6:30PM to 8PM over zoom. We are very excited about the content and facilitator, Ms. Yolanda Hamilton of TDH consulting. There are 40 available slots, and they are going fast. You must be logged into your league account to register for the event, otherwise the registration button will not be available. If you do not already have a commitment at the time of the event, please consider attending. Please also spread the word to as many Leaguers as possible to increase attendance. Register here.

Moving forward certain GC activities will require this training to volunteer and we want as many folks as possible to be able to participate fully.

Shaker Chapter is offering Voter Registration Training
 
Please join us on Saturday, August 29, from 10 AM to 12 PM for voter registration training. Even if you have registered voters in the past, it is a good idea to come to this session to learn new regulations, and refresh your memory on the details of how to register a voter properly. This event is being held at the Shaker Main Library, Boulevard Room, 16500 Van Aken Blvd., Shaker Heights, Ohio, 44120. Register here.
