Unite and Rise
 
The League of Women Voters of Greater Cleveland participated in several Unite and Rise for Voting Rights; National Day of Action August 8 events throughout the area. New voters were registered in Lakewood, Westlake/North Olmsted, Cleveland and Shaker Heights. Thank you to all who participated!
 
Opening Meeting
 
There will be an in-person Opening Meeting on Saturday, September 26, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Lyndhurst Community of Faith Church, 5312 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst. The first part of the meeting will be an orientation for new and newish members. The second part will be for all members. We will  discuss the strategic plan for LWVGC, hear from chapter chairs and Board members, and learn about volunteer opportunities. A box lunch will be served. The registration link will be up in a week or two.
Volunteer with Voter Services
 
Voter Services chair Brenda Bagby has been busy arranging voter services events this fall. The first one is with the League of Women Voters of Ohio and their Airstream tour of college campuses. Help out at the Cleveland State Viking Fest on Saturday, August 22, from 12 PM to 1:30 PM and/or from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. You can register Cleveland State students to vote and talk to them about their voting plans for this fall.
