Opening Meeting
Please join us for an Opening Meeting for all Greater Cleveland members on Saturday, September 26, from 10:30 AM (new member orientation until 11:30) to 1:30 PM at Bloomfield Hall, Lyndhurst Community of Faith Church, 5312 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst, Ohio.
An Opening Meeting gives members a chance to meet the LWVGC Board, learn about volunteer activities, hear about LWVGC long- and short-term priorities, and meet members from across Greater Cleveland. Many volunteer and social groups that I have been part of have an Opening Meeting, usually in September or early October. They don't often correspond with the Operating year, but with the school year instead.
COVID deprived us of the chance to mingle in person. When I joined LWVGC five years ago there was a virtual Happy Hour for new members. I so missed being able to meet and mix with my fellow Leaguers, especially as I had just moved back to Cleveland. A virtual meeting cannot replace the real thing.
