How to Join the League of Women Voters



Add your voice to a powerful force of members, in over 750 communities, from all 50 states, Washington D.C., the Virgin Islands, and Hong Kong!

The League of Women Voters (LWV) has changed the membership process. As of February 3, 2025, you can join LWV from any League website, LWVUS, LWV Ohio (or other state LWV), or LWVGC (or other local League). The online join link from any local League website goes to a portal specific for joining that local League.

Annual Membership Dues

Your LWV Greater Cleveland membership automatically provides you memberships in both the League of Women Voters of the United States and the League of Women Voters of Ohio, connecting you to education and action at all levels through newsletters, action alerts, and invitations to special events. The three levels work together for voter rights and governmental best practices.

The recommended dues rate is $75 per year, but you may choose a lower amount to a minimum of $20. Higher payments help allow some members pay below the recommended amount but do not grant additional benefits. Your payment is distributed among LWV Greater Cleveland, LWV Ohio, and LWVUS.

 After you join, you will receive an email with a login user name and password to access the member-only areas of our website.

Optional Tax Deductible Donation for LWVGC Educational Fund
Make a deductible contribution to the LWVGC Education Fund. To earmark your donation for a LWVGC chapter, be sure to indicate the chapter name in the memo line.
